Bangkok Heritage

Inspired by the elegant architecture and historical dialogue between Thailand and Europe during the reign of King Chulalongkorn, the Bangkok Heritage collection is a study of cultural harmony.

Each motif begins as a hand-painted gouache study, capturing the soul of landmark buildings in Bangkok’s Charoen Krung district—from the intricate masonry of the Portuguese Embassy to the rhythmic geometry of the Assumption Cathedral.

By layering these architectural elements over original mark-making and gestural textures, I have transformed historical fragments into a contemporary textile narrative. This collection celebrates the "Ink Blood" of my process: where the precision of heritage meets the timeless depth of hand-painted art.

"The collection is the result of extensive historical research into the 19th-century 'Golden Age' of Thai-European relations. I spent weeks studying the archival blueprints and the physical textures of the Charoen Krung district. This wasn't a task of simply drawing buildings; it was an exercise in capturing the shared soul of two cultures. Only after the history was understood did the brush touch the paper."

By translating historical fragments into meticulous digital collages, I have layered hand-painted gouache studies with architectural geometry to create a contemporary textile narrative. This mixed-media approach allows for a "Modern Vintage" aesthetic—preserving the raw, painterly soul of the original art within a precise, professional composition.
